Me, I recently acquired a cell Wifi hub/router for use with my laptop. Mobile Internet, here I come!

I read about some kind of massive Orientationfail on Planet Mozilla not too long ago, and I seriously want to help on Dreamwidth 'cause it's like the open-source project I believe in most. >.>

Right now I'm trying to qualify for a GNOME Women's Outreach Program internship, but I did just finish a custom CSS theme for a friend, and uploaded it to Gitorious in the process of learning GNOME dev stuff. I doubt it's usable for putting on Dreamscapes or something though.

I may be doing a talk at Grace Hopper this year with one of the women from Wikimedia and the woman who runs the GNOME outreach program! (If the talk is accepted, I mean.)

And you probably won't be able to use the CSS theme on DW without some extra work, but if you felt like doing said work, dreamscapes is always looking for more styles :)

I got a new job recently, which has been keeping me a) busy, b) paid, c) most saliently to DW, afk during my working hours.

DW has outfitted me well with a progressive value set and toolkit to take into my workplace (I am determined not to have sexist advertising fail on my watch, nor t-shirt fail), as well as pleasing my new manager mightily when, unprompted, I asked about their accessibility resources.

Survived end-of-quarter hell.
Slowly buying more furniture for my flat. Got plants too. \o/ At some point I'll be ready for a cat or two. :)
Am seriously considering getting laser eye surgery. I need to make the call to get an appointment with the surgeon. That's hard for me.

I missed this post, because I was AFK on a climbing trip!

I like being away from my computer occasionally*. It clears my brain and makes me appreciate the internet much much more when I get back.

My lovely job has just finished. SADFACE, because lovely job was lovely. But on the other hand, I'm excited about getting LOTS OF CODE PRACTICE while looking for a job in some kind of technical field at a beginner/trainee kind of level.

I'm starting to get more confident with DW bugs! I wrote a one-line fix yesterday, and now I'm getting to grips with English-stripping, and generally feeling quite excited about all the learning of the codebase.

And I got my CLA in!

(Also I went to Brighton today. It was lovely.)
